My wife Sandy and I own a company Caseys’ Page Mill, Ltd. which sells specialized paper and typefaces to the screen print industry (people who print on tee shirts).
Recently in 2018, we purchased a Mercedes Sprinter Era 70A from Winnebago. While we are very happy with the Sprinter, the infotainment center is a third party product. Actually it is three products in one, the infotainment center, Rand McNally GPS and Sirius XM satellite radio.
This isn’t a problem except that the infotainment center provides you with three manuals from three different manufacturers which must be read concurrently and they are not clear.
I have a degree in Electrical Engineering and have designed and written software products. It took me weeks to decipher the Infotainment Center and write my own manual which has been a great help clarifying how to operate the system.
After writing a user manual for myself I thought, if I was having trouble what about all the people who don’t have my background, although they have other specialties which I can’t grasp.
I think this manual will be beneficial to other owners of Sprinter Winnebagos. It is written from the prospective of how we actually use and operate the Sprinter.
Happy Trails,
Mike & Sandy Casey
